The Night Circus

The Night Circus Play In this play we see that there is love which is forbidden but also favored. These are the main points through the play. It all starts out with Celia and Marco who are tied in love and they have a challenge ahead of themselves. However there is a always a struggle to maintain that love throughout the play due to the both of them having to concentrating and not breaking the rules. So we see that there is a pattern between the two main characters in terms of love because they both want to be in love but the competitions and rules are keeping them from doing that. So towards the end it is sort of like Romeo and Juliet where they both attempt to die together but with their spells they die together to live as spirts eternally. There is a spiritual challenge here and that is when the two characters do there best to be in love but through sneaky way. Along with moral issues, they both seem not abide to the circus’ rules and do whatever they please wh

The Hobbit Hero’s Journey

The Hobbit Hero’s Journey             In the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien of the Hero’s Journey, blog  will be focusing on how Bilbo experiences the steps of an archetypical hero, and if Bilbo really fits into that description. Throughout this blog there will be many discussions about Bilbo’s troubles and trials. He has numerous kinds of traits and special ways that he contributes to them. Some pessimistic will disagree that Bilbo fits into the spectrum of being a hero, so in  this essay will hopefully persuade them by providing in depth how he is well driven and also well persevered. Bilbo can be negative and positive. Bilbo went on this expedition, not solely on his choice, but by someone very almighty. He sometimes struggles to heed   get along with some other people and has to be careful what he does. He is a very important character in this book, and needs to make wise and thoughtful choices for the dwarves, friends, and Gandalf. So Bilbo is actually a great e

Akata Witch

Akata Witch In the beginning we see that there is a young girl who finds out she is a witch with the help of others. In terms of archetypes, I do think that this book resembles quite a bit of Harry Potter attributes. Such as the young girl having needing help to find out she is a witch other and in Harry Potter is also different from everyone else and Hogwarts help him get into the magic world. Sonny also builds some great friends while she is finding out who she is and what she is going to do with her magic. The same thing goes for Harry Potter he undergoes a ton of challenges finding out what his mission his and who he really is. In a culture of recognizing the need for female empowerment, Akata could have some ties with this idea in our day and age. With her struggle to find out how to use her powers to her best advantage and for others, the same is for women today.

Annihilation

Annihilation Something I think is weird about this film is the atmosphere for sure and the DNA that the dome has inside of it. What I mean by this is how the landscape is inside the dome where the volunteers go into to see what’s wrong. It is extremely colorful and has shapes and forms that are very unique. They form around the existing earth structure but eat away at it and forms its own nature. What I think is incredible is how the book talks in great detail about the color of the forms of the new landscape. This is the moss that covers everything. It has incredible neon colors that are so abstract to even imagine but very intense! The patterns that it creates and everything that it keeps inside of it is kind of gross but at the same time beautiful. It’s crazy because the new form that it creates is absolutely beautiful and very intrigue. The other crazy thing I think is weird is that this moss takes on the DNA of humans, and other living objects and kills it to
